To power the backbone of the OMS agent for Linux our team used the open source FluentD data aggregator and built off of the strong plugin community. As we continue to use open source software, we hope to bring your favorite data sources onboard and encourage others to contribute.
The release can be found on GitHub, along with the source code for the agent and all Microsoft plugins. We look forward to hearing your feedback, comments, and suggestion to continue providing a first class management experience for Linux and Docker containers. Check out the System Center: Operations Manager Engineering blog for full details. Let us know what you think of the new agent in the comments below.
